well done for capturing the steampunk feel into a tiny robot-looking critter. My only dislike is that spiders have 8 legs and your cool little critter has only 6.
The eye gives it the perfect little spy quality of a robot bug. We have seen similar in older movies and TV shows, though your with the clockwork body really looked considerably better.
I am guessing the front leg on the left was the first of the legs to be made as it lacks some of the grace and straightness that the other legs have. It's realism makes me look at it over and over waiting for the legs to move.
Very nice piece of art, my favorite part is the small range of colors which fits in with the steam punk theme, and the eye. It looks really cool and the scratched background is a very nice touch the only thing i'd say could be improved is the glare of the light coming off of the legs, there is too much so just reduce it a bit, as long as there is still reflection. overall it is a fantastic piece and i look forward to seeing more, i've added you to my watch list KEEP MAKING ART YOU'RE GOOD AT IT. - WHP268
Oh your'e brilliant! Very jealous of your skill. I would love your feedback on the few steam insects I've done. I'm new to steampunk and i'm trying to learn as much as I can. Did you solder these parts?
