I am not enough of an artist to write a critique to the standard you are likely after, but i can certainly appreciate the detail and work involved in this piece.
It's ethereal....I'll give you that.
If that is indeed an eye on its' tail, that is an excellent image to add to the already feared spectre of the deadly scorpion.
Perhaps they are, as communicated here in my eyes, just a machine of nature doing what it is created to do. Kill those that threaten its' path.
It's good to see the art of the automaton making a comeback after too long in the shadows.
What do you think?

Hello - I am creating a custom set of Magic: The Gathering cards for some friends, that I would eventually like to make available online. I have used this art on a card. Can you please let me know if I should credit it differently than "Catherinette Rings", or if you would prefer I not use it?

Thanks

Well done! I can't help thinking of this as a crazy mech body for Sauron with that lovely eye, hehe

Im so glad i found you! Im not gonna ooh and ahh at it like any other simple person, i respect this on another level. Your an equal! right now the only thing im thinking and wondering about is how you get the copper wire so tightly wound. It must take hours, if it doesnt, your very skilled at it. The rest is Mash-up, and i totally approve! Your use of taxidermy eyes is getting a bit boring, and i cant say i understand it fully. but if its your signature thats perfectly fine with me! We all have our signatures! my own is subtle. The biggest question i have about this besides my previous curiosity, is this; Is this whole scorpion made out of one continuous brass/ or copper wire? (i am fully aware of different tints and hues applied to various wires, depending) Projects like these have been done like that before, even if its just the mainframe that carries the "continuous wire" trait. Again, i dont admire you.

You're welcome. I am one of those non-poster Deviants (as my art talent lies in theatre) who simply watches and enjoys the work of others. When it comes to detailed critique I fear I lack somewhat. I do hope that what I wrote was worthy of your work, as I can truly appreciate what must have gone into making the piece!

Exquisite, extremely fascinating, very ephemeral and ethereal and superb!
Possibly not much of a Critique, but a comment none-the-less.
Huzzah and Splendiferous!

Overall great craftsmanship, nice symmetry to the wire work - I've always found that the toughest thing to pull off. For a scorpion, I'm not sure why it has 8 legs + pincers, but I don't suppose that matters given it's clockwork.

The eye is a little garish (for my tastes), but overall, very nice.

Nevermind, guess they do have 8 legs and it's just me that's clueless :/

Awesome, incredible, the concealment of the solder points alone is impressive. In total, fantastic!

Thank you , there's no soldering involved , it's all wire twisted by hand !
