The best way I could explain it. It's a Neo-Victorian genre. Steam punk takes things, like steam engines, clocks, and goggles, and puts them into a futuristic setting. Steam punk attire is usually suits with fancy hats for men and dresses for women.The video game franchise, Bioshock, uses steam punk as the setting of its plot. Hope this helps!
